Browse: no account needed. Message a seller and post a listing both require a free account. Magic-link or Google/X sign-in, about ten seconds. The account requirement is an anti-spam measure; without it, bots would flood inboxes and the storage bucket.

Posting is free, browsing is free, and we don't take a cut of any sale. Sofiaslist is the billboard, not the middleman. There are no transaction fees, no percentage-of-sale, no paid promotion.

Listings stay live for 30 days. We'll email you before expiry so you can renew in one click. Renewals can extend a listing up to 120 days total before a new post is required. You can mark sold or delete any time from your manage link.

We list cities across the US plus a growing set of international markets. Pick the closest city when posting, or type your own. It's free text. If your city isn't in the dropdown, send us a note and we'll add it.

When you post, we email you a private manage link. That link lets you edit photos, price, description, renew, or delete. If you signed in, your listings also appear under My listings. Can't find the email? Check spam. It comes from hello@sofiaslist.com.

Vehicles, property for rent, property for sale, jobs, services, clothing and accessories, electronics, entertainment, family, free stuff, garden and outdoors, hobbies, home goods, home improvement, musical instruments, office supplies, pet supplies, sporting goods, and toys and games. Each top-level category has subcategories to help buyers find you faster.

We mirror standard marketplace policies. No alcohol, drugs, weapons, animals, adult content, counterfeits, stolen goods, gift cards, event tickets, or anything else listed in our Community Guidelines. Housing listings must comply with the Fair Housing Act. Listings that violate these rules are held for human review or removed.

Every listing goes through an automated safety check. If something looks like a scam, a prohibited item, or a Fair Housing issue (sometimes triggered by an innocent phrase), it's held for a quick human review. We'll email you within 24 hours either way: approved and live, or removed with a reason.

Yes. Up to 10 photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF - 8 MB each) and one short video (up to 60 seconds, 50 MB, MP4/MOV/WebM). The first photo is your cover image. Listings with at least 3 photos get 5× more replies than text-only. Drag to reorder.

Tap the bookmark icon on any listing to save it. Find saved items under Saved in your account. We'll notify you if the price drops or the listing is close to expiring.

Open any listing and tap Message seller. You'll be asked to sign in with a free account first (magic link or Google/X). Messages route through Sofiaslist, so the seller's real email stays private. Most sellers reply within 2 hours.

Run any search and tap Save search. We'll email you when new matching listings appear. Manage or unsubscribe at Search alerts, or toggle the master switch in Settings → Notifications.

Tap a seller's name on any listing to open their public profile: display name, avatar, how long they've been on Sofiaslist, and other active listings. You can toggle your own public profile on or off at Settings → Marketplace. We never show real names or contact info unless you set them yourself.

Yes, unless the seller marked it firm. Just send a polite, specific message (“Would you take $40 cash today?”) - sellers respond best to clear, concrete offers. We don't hold payments on your behalf; you settle directly with the seller.

Yes. Both providers are supported alongside email magic links. We only request your basic profile info (email, name, profile photo) and never post on your behalf. Pick whichever sign-in method is convenient on the auth page.

Go to Settings and open the Danger Zone tab. Account deletion permanently removes your listings, messages, favourites, saved searches, and account record. You'll be asked to re-type your account email to confirm. The action can't be undone.

Not yet, but the site is fully mobile-friendly. Add it to your home screen for the closest-to-app experience. A native app is on the roadmap.

Settings → Account for your email, Settings → Notifications to control what we send and when. One toggle mutes everything except new messages.

Tap the ⋯ menu on any listing and choose Report. Pick a reason (scam, prohibited item, miscategorized, etc.) and we'll review within hours. Reports are anonymous - the seller never sees who flagged them. For urgent safety concerns, email safety@sofiaslist.com.

Common red flags: price way below market, seller refuses to meet in person or video call, asks for payment via gift card, wire, or crypto, or the story doesn't match the listing. When in doubt, walk away. There are always other listings.

• Meet in a public place during daytime.
• Inspect the item before paying.
• Use cash or a verifiable in-person payment app.
• Never share account passwords or one-time codes.

File a police report locally first - that's the most important step for any chance of recovery. Then send us the report number plus the scammer's handle and message thread at safety@sofiaslist.com. We'll ban the account and cooperate with law enforcement requests.

Currency auto-detects from your browsing location so listings render in something familiar without you setting anything. Sellers post in their own currency; on your end we show the original price plus a sensible local equivalent when we can.
